How many of you believe in, whatever happens, happens for good? Caged between thoughts and struggles of finding a way to express my creativity, the past two years of pandemic proved to be a blessing in disguise. I was always drawn towards writing since my teenage years and wanted to pursue a career in journalism and mass media or arts but life had some extra plan Bs for me. I went for graduation in commerce after I left pursuing a Chartered Accountancy course midway. Alongside I was preparing for Banking and SSC exams but sucked at Mathematics and couldn’t clear beyond the first half of banking and got screwed at typing test for SSC too.

Moving to yet another plan B, my love for English literature made me take up the job of teaching English at a private school in my city. After almost 2.5 years of my stint, and one year of pandemic engulfing our routines with work from home and isolation being your companions I wanted to take up content writing and learn the basics of it to pursue as a career. During the lockdown, I enrolled for a basic content writing and blogging certificate course from a renowned online platform to brush up on my writing skills. After the course, I felt like taking up content writing as a full-time job, and fortunately, I got a chance to do the online content writing internship with Astrek Innovations where I wrote blogs for them. (You can check out here)

That done, after two months I got the opportunity to work with an agency as a social media marketing and content writing intern where my job role was to take care of monthly content calendar planning and writing content for it. My job role advanced as a paid intern and finally joined them full time thus saying goodbye to my teaching career. And since then there was no looking back, I recently changed my job from working for clients in the agency to working with the client. The challenges while working in the agency helped me with understanding the multifaceted job roles one can undertake as a social media manager. From planning monthly content strategy to discussing the prospects of showcasing the customers the ultimate satisfactory experience to working with the client’s side and understanding the rationale and processes of how a brand works and plans its content strategy.

You never know what adversity has in store for you; all we can do is prepare for the sunny days ahead. After working from home for almost two years and never living away from home, including during the summer holidays, I finally flew to Chennai to work with Srishti Digilife Pvt Ltd which is one of the best companies I can endorse. I feel your heart knows your happy place be it work life or personal life, and following it requires a lot of courage, mental strength to face things without being dependent, and not losing your identity amidst new happenings around you.

Let me know in the comments if you can relate to me, would be happy to know more about it!
